APPENDIX A: SUMMARY OF POSITIONINGS AND EFFECTS |

LEFT POSITION |
|
To determine the left position of any element on a document form, you need to have an
Image Editor, like Photoshop. It is measured from the left most corner of the form up to the
edge of the element to be positioned. An element may be in the form of a text or graphical
image. The measurement unit is Points (1/72 of an inch). Refer to image below.

TOP POSITION |
|
The top position is measured from the top edge of the document form down to the top of
the element to be positioned. Measurement unit is Points (1/72 of an inch). Refer to image
below.

WIDTH MEASUREMENT |
|
The width is the measurement of the entire element width. The measurement unit is in
Points (1/72 of an inch). Width of the text will be ignored once the alignment is to the left
and the height is equal to the line-height. But a value is still required for the width
measurement. Refer to image below.

HEIGHT MEASUREMENT |
|
The height is the measurement of the entire element height. The measurement unit is in
Points (1/72 of an inch). Refer to image below.

LINE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT |
|
The line-height measurement is the height of line element. Usually it is equal to the size of
the font used. The measurement unit is in Points (1/72 of an inch). Refer to image below.
