e2B System Media Administrator Help Using e2B's Extended Search Engine

  • This Extended Search feature will only appear IF there are documents/entries that are more than ten (10). This is very powerful and accurate. Ok, These are the parts of the search feature;

    • The Search Keyword(s) box - this is where you type your query/keywords.
    • The Search button - when pressed, the software will process your request.
    • The Exact checkbox - check this if you want to search for an exact match.
    • The Case Sensitive checkbox - check this if you want to search using any one of the keywords entered.
    • The Keyword(s) Must Exist checkbox - check this if you want to search with the exact keywords entered. Then, the system will search for all available documents/files containing the exact keywords entered.
    • The Clear button - click this to erase typed search keyword(s).
    • The Reset button - click this to bring back the previous entered search keyword(s).
    • The Cancel button - click this to close the extended search window.
    • The Help button - click this to bring out the extended search help guide.


  • To start using it, move your cursor on top of the text field then click. If you've done this correctly, a blinking vertical line will appear in the text box. Now, using your keyboard, type a keyword(s) that the document you want to search for which contains the keyword(s) entered. After that, click the search button or hit enter key on your keyboard for your request to be processed. If there are matches in your search, you'll be taken to a page where all matches are displayed. Click the right one to choose it.

  • The Exact, Case Sensitive and Keyword(s) Must Exist Checkboxes. When you check Exact, you'll notice that the Case Sensitive and Keyword(s) Must Exist checkboxes will also be checked. You cannot uncheck the two as long as Exact is checked.

  • If you want all documents to be displayed, simply click on search. The search text box should be left blank.
