- Click "Interest" under the folder "Calculators."
An Interest Calculator window will appear.
This calculator computes for the interest in a given principal amount
and displays the interest schedules of how much will the interest be on a certain
period of time.
- To use this, move your cursor on top of the Principal Amount text box and click on it.
Enter by typing in a value you want by using your keyboard.
Next is, move your cursor on top of the Annual Interest Rate text box and click on it.
Or, simply press the Tab key on your keyboard to go to the next text field.
Type in the desired interest rate.
- Press Tab or move your cursor on top of the No. of Periods per Year text field
and type in the desired value. Set the Compounding Interest,
by clicking on Yes or No radio buttons.
- Press Tab again to move to the next text field, type in the desired No. of Periods
to Schedule. Then, select the number of decimal places you want your results to have.
To do this, click on the drop down list of Number of Decimal to select
the desired number of decimal places. You can only choose from 0 to 8.
- To view the result, just click on any of the text fields.
- To display the interest schedules, click on the Display Interest Schedules button
and this will show you the Interest Amount, Total Interest and Future Value of
the Principal Amount entered. Click the Ok button to close the Interest Schedule window.
- To exit the Interest Calculator, click on the Icon on
the top most right corner of the interest calculator browser and return to the main menu.
