- Click "Mortgage" under the folder "Calculators."
A Mortgage Calculator window will appear.
This calculator computes for the mortgage in a given gross amount
and displays the amortization schedules of how much will you
pay for a certain period of time until you have payed all your mortgage.
- To use this, move your cursor on top of the Gross Amount text box and click on it.
Enter by typing in a value you want by using your keyboard.
- Next is, move your cursor on top of the Down Payment text box and click on it.
Or, simply press the Tab key on your keyboard to go to the next text field.
Type in the desired value. If you have typed in a value on this field,
you do not have to provide a value on the Percent Down text field as well as
on the Principal Amount text field and vice versa.
- Next is, move your cursor on top of the Annual Interest Rate text box and click on it.
Or, simply press the Tab key on your keyboard to go to the next text field.
Type in the desired interest rate.
- Press Tab again to move to the next text field,
type in the number of years to be analyzed.
- Press Tab again to move to the next text field,
type in the no. of payments to be made per year.
- Press Tab again to move to the next text field,
select the number of decimal places you want your results to have.
To do this, click on the drop down list of Number of Decimal to select
the desired number of decimal places. You can only choose from 0 to 8.
- To display the result and the amortization schedules,
click on the Display Amortization Schedules button and this will bring out
the Amortization Schedules' Window. This shows the Number of Payments Made, Principal Paid,
Interest Paid, total Principal, Total Interest, Total Amount Paid
and the Total Principal Remaining. To close the Mortgage Calculator Window,
click Ok button.
- To exit the Loan Analysis Calculator, click on the
Icon on the top most right corner of the mortgage calculator browser and return to the main menu.
